The Countdown Is On! Get Ready for the 2026 Project ReCollect Sale
August 12, 2026

Your generosity filled the store. Soon it will be time to find your next great treasure!

If you’ve been waiting for one of Ithaca’s biggest bargain shopping events, the countdown is officially on!

The 2026 Project ReCollect Sale returns August 17 through August 23 at The Shops at Ithaca Mall, bringing thousands of gently used treasures together under one roof. Whether you’re furnishing a dorm room, outfitting an apartment, decorating your home, or simply love discovering great deals, this year’s sale promises to be one of our biggest yet.

More donations than ever

This spring, the generosity of Cornell students and community members exceeded all expectations. Volunteers collected more donations than ever before, which means shoppers can look forward to an incredible selection of clothing, furniture, housewares, kitchen supplies, décor, electronics, sporting goods, books, small appliances, and much more.

Last year, we estimated that nearly 10,000 people shopped the sale. With even more merchandise this year, we’re excited to welcome returning shoppers and first-time bargain hunters alike.

Every purchase makes a difference

When you shop at the Project ReCollect Sale, you’re doing much more than finding incredible bargains. Every purchase helps keep usable items out of local landfills while supporting the mission of Cops, Kids & Toys. Net proceeds from the sale help provide holiday toys and gifts for children throughout Tompkins County.

But the impact doesn’t stop during the holidays. Throughout the year, Cops, Kids & Toys partners with county agencies and local human service organizations to provide food, household essentials, clothing, and other emergency assistance to neighbors facing difficult times.

Thank you, Ithaca, we love you!

The Project ReCollect Sale simply wouldn’t happen without the incredible generosity of Cornell students, community donors, hundreds of dedicated volunteers, and thousands of loyal shoppers who return year after year.

Thank you for helping us reduce waste, support local families, and give perfectly good items a second life.

We can’t wait to welcome you back August 17 through 23. Bring your shopping bags, bring your friends, and get ready to discover some amazing treasures!
