Your Gift Matters!

Cops, Kids & Toys began in the early 1980s when two Ithaca City Police officers were moved to provide holiday toys to a few children and families in need.

​Today, our volunteers come from every law enforcement agency in Tompkins County, the Tompkins County Probation Department, numerous local businesses, and many local citizens.

As the number of families in need continues to grow, supporters of Cops, Kids & Toys have risen to the challenge by volunteering their time, and with their generous monetary contributions and toy donations. We invite the families to apply to share their children's wish lists, and our volunteers then select a few toys and gifts for each child to match those requests.

You, our very generous community, make this possible with the wonderful new toys you donate for the families and children we serve. Most of the time, we are able to select from many great choices. However, we also buy extra gifts to supplement the donated toys, and your cash donations make that possible.

No donation is too small to put a smile on a child's face. Monthly gifts are an easy and affordable way to make a difference all year round.  Thank you for your thoughtful and kind generosity!
