Donation Bins Open Nov. 1 for the 2025 Holiday Toy Drive!
October 22, 2025

Your gifts will make a child smile this holiday season!

From November 1 through December 1, Cops, Kids & Toys invites the community to help spread holiday joy by donating new, unwrapped toys for children in need across Tompkins County.

Donation bins are now available at dozens of local businesses, community centers, and police departments throughout the county — from Lansing to Dryden, Groton to Trumansburg, and Downtown Ithaca to East Hill.

Find the full list of donation bin locations here:
www.copskidsandtoys.org/donation-bin-locations

Bins will be collected around December 1, so please donate early! After that date, toys can be brought directly to the Toy Room at the Shops at Ithaca Mall (during open hours), or dropped off at any of the following:

  • Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office
  • Cayuga Heights Police Department
  • Cornell Police Department
  • Ithaca College Police Department
  • Tompkins County Probation Department

A huge thank-you to our local business and community partners for hosting donation bins year after year. Your generosity makes it possible for hundreds of children to experience the magic of the holidays.

Monetary donations are also deeply appreciated and can be made online or by check (payable to Cops, Kids & Toys Inc.) and mailed to PO Box 519, Dryden, New York 13053. Please do not place checks in the bins, as they are not secure.

Together, we can make this season brighter for every child in our community. Thank you!

March 11, 2026
On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Cops, Kids & Toys was proud to present a check to the Family Reading Partnership in support its important work and to assist with some unforeseen expenses as it continues to serve local children and families. Since 1997, Family Reading Partnership has helped Tompkins County families with young children experience the joy of books and read-aloud time as an everyday part of life. Family Reading Partnership provides programs and materials that encourage parents and caregivers to engage with infants and young children through reading, play, songs, and conversation, all as building blocks for literacy. It works to create a culture of literacy in the community by weaving books and reading encouragement into the networks and services that already reach local families. Their programs are designed especially for families with infants and young children in Tompkins County, helping children connect with books early and often. Their impact is rooted in a simple but powerful idea. When children grow up with books as part of everyday life, families are strengthened and young learners are better prepared to thrive. Family Reading Partnership describes its work as creating a culture of literacy, one book, one family, and one community at a time. Organizations like Family Reading Partnership help make Tompkins County a stronger, more connected community for children. We encourage our supporters to learn more about their work and consider making a donation to help them continue serving local families.
